Weekend Emergencies
We are available on-call 24 hours a day during weekends (from after closing time on Friday to opening hours on Monday) for life-threatening emergencies only. This may not apply to holidays.
What Are Veterinary Emergencies?
Here are some examples of emergencies that require immediate care:
- Seizures and/or staggering
- Obvious signs of pain or extreme anxiety
- Inability to urinate or pass feces, or pain associated with urinating or passing feces
- Bleeding from nose, mouth, rectum, or blood in urine
- Choking, difficulty breathing or continuous coughing/gagging
- Fractured bones or severe lameness
- Severe bleeding or bleeding that won't stop
- Heat stress or heatstroke
- Refusal to drink for 24 hours or more
- Injuries to the eye(s)
- Severe vomiting or diarrhea; 2+ episodes in 24-hours
- Injuries to the eye(s)
- Your pet has ingested something poisonous (such as antifreeze, xylitol, chocolate, rodent poison, etc.)
- Unconsciousness
