What to Expect at a Veterinary Appointment
When both you and your pet know what to expect at your first appointment, the process will be smoother. Here's what happens when you see us for the first time.
STEP 1
Get Settled
Please arrive about 10 minutes early to complete our New Patient Form. To save some time, you may fill out the New Patient Form online in advance.
STEP 2
Meet Your Veterinarian
One of our team members will review your pet's history and discuss their issues with you. There will be time to ask any questions you may have.
STEP 3
Examination, Diagnosis & Treatment
Once we've assessed your pet, we will provide you with a diagnosis and treatment options. Your veterinarian will work with you to develop a custom treatment plan for your pet.

- What types of payment options are available?
Payment is required in full at the time services are provided or upon discharge of your pet. We accept payment by cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and check. We also accept CareCredit.
- Are there payment plans available for my pet’s care?
We are proud to offer CareCredit and ScratchPay as a financing option. These options both offer an easy application process that will give you results in minutes.
- Will I be provided with an estimate of costs?
A good-faith verbal estimate will be provided for cost of services prior to treating your pet. We are more than happy to provide you with a written estimate upon request.
However, circumstances sometimes arise that may impact your final bill.
Our policy is to always discuss our estimate with all clients before they leave our facility, and to require a deposit based on our estimate, before any further treatment is administered.
- Should I call ahead to book an appointment?
Yes, please call ahead to schedule an appointment to ensure we have capacity in our schedule to assess your pet.
If your pet needs emergency care during our regular business hours, please contact us immediately.
- What is your appointment cancellation policy?
Please let us know as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. This way, another client may be able to use the space in our schedule.
- What types of animals do you treat?
We provide veterinary medical care to small domestic pets such as cats and dogs, exotic pets including birds, reptiles, rodents and rabbits, and large animals.
- Where can I purchase my pet's prescription and food?
Purchase all the medications and specialty food your pet may need either through our online store or at our in-house pharmacy.
- What are the fees associated with a veterinary appointment?
You are financially responsible for your pet's initial examination fee and any diagnostics or treatment that you consent to. This payment is due in full at the time of service.
For further hospitalization, diagnostics, or surgery, we require a deposit upfront, with payment due in full when your pet is discharged.
- What are the fees associated with an emergency visit?
For all emergency examinations, a deposit payment is required. Once our staff and veterinarians have examined your pet, you will be provided with an estimate for treatment so a treatment plan can be developed.
If further surgery, diagnostics or hospitalization are required, a deposit is required upfront, with payment due in full when your pet is discharged.
