With our medical, overnight and daycare boarding services for pets, you can be assured your animals will have a home away from home while in our care.
A Home Away From Home
We know how stressful it can be to leave your pet when you go out of town, or if they need to stay overnight for medical care while they are ill. Sometimes, they may need care following a surgery or procedure.
At Dockery, Mobley, & Associates Animal Hospital, we're committed to helping you put your mind at ease. Our general pet boarding services are open to all our patients - from cats and dogs to exotic animals - while our medical boarding services are for pets with conditions that standard boarding centers may not be equipped to accommodate.
Boarding: A Typical Day
Dogs
Every morning, the dogs head outside to our outdoor run for fresh air before having breakfast. After they go outside with a staff member, they come back in to a newly cleaned and disinfected kennel, which are stocked with fresh linens.
Depending on their physical capacity and ability, dogs who stay with us are walked on a regular schedule.
Your dog will be supervised throughout their entire stay with us – both during walks and as they rest. Dinner is served in the evening before we take one last walk before bedtime.
Cats
We will feed your cat per your specifications and their requirements, ensuring their stay mimics their at-home routine as much as possible.
One on-one daily interaction (provided your kitty is comfortable with this) - including pets and play - is part of every kitty's day here. Litter boxes are checked, cleaned and disinfected periodically throughout the day.
In addition, linens are refreshed and cat's rooms are cleaned daily.
Medical Boarding
Our expert veterinarians and nurses will supervise your pet and closely monitor them. Any medications your pet requires will be administered on the same schedule they are used to at home.

- Is there a limit to the number of pets I can board at a time?

Depending on the circumstances, we may be able to board family members (canine/canine or feline/feline) together.
- How much does pet boarding cost?
The duration of the stay and whether they have any special medical requirements are all factors that contribute to the cost of boarding fees. That said, our pricing is competitive and affordable, and we welcome you to contact us for a quote.
- What time should I drop off and pick up my pet?
All pets must be dropped off and picked up during our regular office hours. We strongly recommend making reservations, especially for holidays and summer weekends.
During these high-demand periods, we recommend that you call 2 to 3 weeks in advance to increase the odds that a spot will be available.
- What should I pack for my pet?
Food: Though food is provided to pets staying with us, please feel free to bring enough of your pet's regular food to last the duration of their stay.
Medication: Bring along any medication your pet takes - our staff is able to administer it. All medications must be in their original bottles with Rx label.

We are happy to administer your pet's medications during their stay with us. All medications must be in their original bottles with Rx label.
- Can I get updates about my pet during their stay?
Yes, please feel free to give us a call for updates during your pet's stay. We will contact you using the emergency contact information you provide if there is a problem.
- How should I prepare for my pet's stay?
Each animal is an individual with unique needs. To prepare for your pet's stay with us, we'll take the following steps to ensure that we can meet their specific requirements.
Step 1: Contact us to get started
Call us to schedule, and to discuss details about your pet and your boarding needs. A member of our team will coordinate your booking.
Please note that, because of the nature of our accommodations, we cannot accept unaltered dogs. Pets must also be up to date on all vaccinations and free of ticks and fleas to stay at our facility.
Step 2: Book a trial stay
A trial stay helps both parties know whether we are a good fit for your pet prior to an extended stay. The trial stay involves a full day of daycare during which we can take the time to assess your pet's temperament and ensure they will fit in with the pack.
Step 3: Set your pet up for success
On the day you leave your pet with us, you can take a few steps to help reduce any stress your pet may experience.
Before dropping him or her off, spend some extra time with your pet, and make sure they get some vigorous exercise so they will feel calm. When you arrive at our facility, stay calm, confident and cheerful during the separation.
- What do you feed animals that don't have their own food?
For pets who are not on a special diet, we provide Hill's Science Diet Adult Chicken and Barley pet food.
